    In OCCA case No. C-2012-276, Bobby Ray Laney appealed his conviction for First Degree Rape. In a published decision, the court decided to grant the petition for a Writ of Certiorari. The court determined that Laney should be allowed to withdraw his Alford plea due to ineffective assistance of counsel concerning his competency to enter the plea. One judge dissented.
